Our aim is to conserve and preserve artefacts relating to road passenger transport in
Southern England and through our work as a educational charity,
to extend this knowledge more widely.

What we do & who we are...

The City of Portsmouth Preserved Transport Depot (CPPTD)

CPPTD is one of four separate and operationally independent bus preservation projects in Hampshire and West Sussex that are administered by the Working Omnibus Project Limited (WOMP) - the other are the Medstead Depot Omnibus Group, Southampton & District Transport Heritage Trust and the Stedham Garage Group.






Our Vehicles

Leyland TD4 no.7 (RV6367)

Built 1935 for Portsmouth Corporation with closed top English Electric 50-seat double deck body and was renumbered

Portsmouth City Museum Vehicles

Crossley Condor (RV720)

Built 1931 with Short Brothers 48-seat double deck bodywork as No.74

Built 1951 for Eastbourne Corporation with Bruce Coachworks 56-seat double deck body
